Glow
The winds of change in management environments are increasingly emphasising the importance of self-management. Most companies are now seeking to develop sustainable management practices and to raise managers’ awareness of their impact on the environment and their employees.
The Glow -project developed and piloted a sustainable management coaching programme for SME managers. The effectiveness of the training was measured through personal diaries and the Moodmetric Measurement. The Moodmetric ring measures electrical conductivity and can be used to monitor fluctuations in emotional states and stress levels. The leadership training helped to achieve the objectives set for the training in an excellent way.
The Glow leadership training is based on the Avery and Bergsteiner pyramid of sustainable leadership (2011) and in particular the so-called higher level practices
intrinsic motivation,
self-direction,
teamwork,
trust,
organisational culture and knowledge sharing.
Sustainable management can create long-term prosperity and lasting value for all stakeholders in the organisation.
Leadership training made use of equine-assisted environments and opportunities provided by nature. Both are known to support calming and the creation of a space of trust. This enabled peer support among the trainees and encouraged honest self-reflection.
Based on two coaching pilots, the Leadership coaching model was created and is freely available. The Sustainable Leadership Coaching Model is primarily aimed at organisational competence developers and leadership coaches.
